Who We Are
Prototek Sheetmetal Fabrication, LLC began in 1987 as a family owned and operated business, which we remain to this day. We began in a basement, but now operate from a 45,000 sq. ft. facility in Contoocook, New Hampshire. (Feel free to check it out with Google’s Business View: Virtual Prototek).
What We Do
With a solid commitment to on-time delivery of quality products, Prototek is serving the quick turn precision sheet metal fabrication and CNC machining market. We fabricate from paper prints or electronic files, and work with the full range of raw materials: steel, stainless steel, mirrored stainless, aluminum sheet, tube, angle and channel, Lexan and other plastics, copper sheet and bar, and spring steel. We have access to all the major hardware and accessory (handles, gaskets) lines, and keep thousands of types of PEM hardware in stock. We are a one-stop-shop, meaning we engineer, program, laser cut or punch, tap, countersink, deburr, grain, bend, weld, paint, powder coat or paint, anodize, chromate, install hardware, and assemble, all under one roof. We accept small quantities of prototypes as well as quantities in the thousands for short run production. We are the fastest in the industry at what we do, and can finish your project in a single day when required.
Our team consists of 70+ well-rounded, cross-trained personnel. One of our seven engineers would be glad to help with the design and engineering of your project, and you can chat with them online using our Live Chat Room.
We do everything in our power to replace our outdated or inefficient machines with the most advanced the industry has to offer. Our Amada HDS 1303, RGM 5020/8024, Haeger 840-WT-4E, Mazek Nexus, Behringer Band Saw, Mitutoyo CMM 706, and Fowler F14-A Comparitor are just a few of the examples of how we are able to keep up with the ever increasing demands of the industry.
Licenses and Compliances
We are ISO 9001:2008, ITAR, DFAR, FAR, ORCA, and RoHS certified. All of our material and inventory is manufactured in the United States.
Being Green Matters
We are very energy efficient, from powering down our computers at night to running our green machine, Amada LC-C1, wherever possible. We even custom manufactured our own ducting equipment to transfer heat from our plating department across our facility into our shipping bay in the winter. The heat generated from our processing cells is captured and transfered to our offices and building extremities.
Who We Serve
We’ll make parts for anyone. However, our specific set of licenses and certifications allows us to appeal to large industrial complex organizations, include industries such as: aerospace, medical, military, robotics, semiconductor, telecommunications, navy, transportation, renewable energy, and much more. We made the first Roomba prototype, we’ve got parts on space stations and rockets, we’ve made Hummer chassis for the military, we made the first production-ready electric car charger prototype, and so many more amazing things we’re not allowed to talk about.
We appreciate your interest in Prototek Sheet Metal Fabrication and look forward to demonstrating that commitment to quality does not have to be subservient to price and delivery.
